Fruity Tea Sangria

Ingredients

  •         2 cups boiling water

  •         2 large black tea bags

  •         2 cinnamon sticks

  •         1/2 cup sugar

  •         3 cups pomegranate juice

  •         1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice

  •         1 medium orange, thinly sliced into rounds 

  •         1 medium lemon, thinly sliced into rounds

  •         1 medium lime, thinly sliced into rounds

  •         1 medium red apple, cored & cut into 1/2-inch chunks

  •         3 cups sparkling water

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, pour boiling water over tea bags and cinnamon sticks; steep for 5 minutes. 

  2. Discard tea bags and stir in sugar to dissolve.

  3. In a large pitcher, combine tea, cinnamon sticks, pomegranate juice, orange juice, orange, lemon, lime, and apple chunks. 

  4. Refrigerate for at least  hour; preferably overnight.

  5. Just before serving, stir in sparkling water. Serve in glasses over ice.
