Ham & Cheese Panini

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cooked ham, thinly sliced

  • 8 ounces Swiss cheese, thinly sliced

  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

  • 6 tablespoons soft butter, optional

  • Bread

  • 8 center slices Sourdough Bread, or your favorite panini bread

Directions

  1. Heat an electric panini griddle or skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. Spread butter on one side of bread and place on griddle, buttered side down.

  3. add mustard to face up side of bread and build sandwich; place ham and cheese on mustard.

  4. Spread butter on the other slice of the bread, then close the griddle or cover the pan with a lid.

  5. Toast the sandwich for 3 to 5 minutes on one side, flip it over, and toast for another 3 to 5 minutes until it's as golden as you like. Remove from the pan, and serve warm
