Easy Fettuccine Alfredo

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 1½ cups heavy whip cream

  • 1 tablespoon all purpose flour

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • 1/8 teaspoon white pepper

  • 4 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, shredded

  • ½ teaspoon fresh nutmeg, grated

  • 4 quarts water

  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 16 ounces fettuccine pasta

Directions

  1. Melt butter in 3-quart saucepan over medium high heat. 

  2. Mix whipping cream, flour, salt and pepper until smooth; pour into saucepan.

  3. Boil 1 minute, stirring frequently with whisk, remove from heat.

  4. Boil water in 8-quart saucepan; add pasta; cook 2-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until firm but tender. 

  5. Drain pasta; mix with sauce and stir in cheese, peper and nutmeg.
