
Easy Peach Pie
Ingredients

2-15 ounce cans of sliced peaches in 100% juice, drained

½ cup granulated sugar

½ cup light brown sugar

​1/3 cup all-purpose flour

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon salt
-
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 deep dish frozen pie shells
- 1 regular frozen pie shell

Directions

Preheat oven to 400°. Let pie shells thaw; turn the regular pie shell upside and place on paper towel.

In a large bowl, combine all of the dry ingredients; whisk to mix well. (dry ingredients: sugars, flour, spices & salt). Pour the sliced peaches in a separate bowl.

Pour the dry ingredients into the bowl with the peaches and gently stir; add vanilla extract.

Pour peach mixture into the deep-dish pie shell, spread evenly.

Place the second pie shell on top of peach mixture; crimp the edges to seal the pie.

Combine the water & beaten egg in a small bowl. Use a pastry brush to brush egg mixture over top of pie.

Cover edges of pie with foil to prevent the edges from burning. Cut 4 slits on the top crust to vent the pie while cooking.

Line a baking sheet with foil (for easy cleanup). Place pie on baking sheet and cook 45-50 minutes.

Gently remove foil from pie edges. Bake an additional 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool.
