Simple Butter Cookies
Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

2 teaspoon vanilla extract

¾ cups sugar

2¾ cups All -Purpose flour, sifted

3 egg yolks

Directions
-
Heat oven to 375°.
-
Beat butter, sugar, vanilla and egg yolks in mixing bowl. Blend in flour gradually; mix well.
-
Roll dough into log; chill 2 hours.
-
Cut ½-inch thick and cook on un-greased cookie sheet for 12 minutes or until brown.
-
Transfer to wire rack to cool.
Optional:
place a pecan half on each cookie
