Eggs In A Basket

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 slices of bread (any kind)

  • 2 tablespoon of unsalted butter

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

  1. Make a small hole in the middle of both slices of bread; set aside. 

  2. Melt butter in skillet on medium-high temperature. 

  3. Place bread in skillet to coat with melted butter.

  4. Crack egg gently inside each bread hole (one egg per slice); season eggs with salt and pepper.

  5. Cook eggs on one side for 1-2 minutes, without bursting the egg yolk.

  6. Slowly turn bread over; cook for 1 minute until golden brown.
