Homemade Fudge

Ingredients

½ cup corn syrup        

¾ cups powder sugar, sifted 

1/3 cup whole milk or heavy cream

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 packs of Baker’s Chocolate Squares

1 cup pecans, chopped

1 tablespoon salt flakes, optional

Directions

  1. Spray 8-inch square pan with no stick cooking spray. 

  2. Mix corn syrup and milk in 2-quart saucepan.  Add chocolate.

  3. Cook on medium-low heat until chocolate melts, stirring constantly.  Remove from heat.  Stir in powdered sugar, vanilla and nuts. 

  4. Stir with wooden spoon until thick and glossy.  Immediately spread in prepared pan. 

  5. Refrigerate 2 hours or until firm.  Let stand at room temperature 15 minutes before cutting into 1-inch squares. 

  6. Wrap each fudge into parchment squares or clear wrap to give a gifts. Makes about 64 fudges.
