Homemade Waffles

Ingredients

  • 2½ cups All Purpose flour                         

  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder

  • ¾ teaspoon salt                              

  • 1½ tablespoons granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs, beaten

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract                             

  • 2½ cups whole milk

  • ¾ cup vegetable oil                                              

  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder

Optional Toppings:

Fresh strawberries, sliced

Fresh Blueberries

Whipped cream

Directions

  1. Combine the first 4 ingredients into a large bowl; stir to combine. 

  2. In a separate bowl, combine eggs, vanilla, milk and oil; stir and add to flour mixture.

  3. Stir just until dry ingredients are moistened. 

  4. Cook in a preheated oiled waffle iron** until golden. Top with butter and maple syrup.

  5. These waffles can be made in advance and place in a freeze bag to freeze up to 1 month. 

  6. To reheat, toast them from the freezer.

**This recipe can be used for any type of waffle iron.
