
Easy Baked Beans
Ingredients

2-32 ounces canned baked beans*

4 slices bacon, chopped

1/4 cup small sweet onion, diced

1/4 cup green bell pepper, diced

1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
-
2 tablespoons honey
-
2 tablespoon yellow mustard
-
1 teaspoon salt
-
1 small jalapeño pepper, diced (optional)**
NOTE:
*Preference: Bush’s Baked Beans
**For a little spice, add jalapeño pepper to pot instead of the green bell pepper.
Directions

Preheat oven to 375°. Spray a baking dish with cooking spray.

Fry bacon in pot until almost done; add the onions and bell peppers; cook until vegetables are tender.

Pour beans in pot, stir and cook 10 minutes on medium until bubbly.

Add the remaining ingredients; cook another 5 minutes longer. Pour beans into the baking dish.

Bake 40 minutes, uncovered until beans thickens.

Remove from oven and let cool.
