Double Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter            

  • 1½ cup granulated sugar

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract        

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2/3 cups Hershey cocoa powder    

  • 2 cups All-Purpose flour

  • ¼ teaspoon salt            

  • ¾ teaspoons baking soda

  • ½ cup pecans, chopped            

  • 12 ounces semi-sweet morsels

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°. 

  2. In large mixer bowl, beat butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy. 

  3. In a separate bowl, stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt;  add to butter mixture.  Stir in morsels and nuts.

  4. Drop by rounded teaspoonful onto un-greased cookie sheet.  Bake 8-10 minutes or just until set. 

  5. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.  Cool completely.
