Spaghetti & Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 ½  pound ground beef

  • 1 teaspoon dried basil

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

  • 1/3 cup onions, finely chopped

  • ½  teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

  • ½ cup milk

  • 1 egg , beaten

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • ¾ cup plain breadcrumbs

  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

  • 6 cups RAGU Mushroom pasta sauce

  • 1 teaspoon dried sweet basil

  • 1 pound spaghetti

  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. Cook spaghetti; drain and set aside. 

  2. In a large bowl, mix together the first 11 ingredients; shape into 20 1½-inch balls. 

  3. Heat oil in skillet over medium heat; add meatballs, a few at a time.  Cook meatballs until thoroughly done; drain the meatballs on paper towels. 

  4. Pour the pasta sauce and sweet basil in a large pot; stir to mix.

  5. Place meatballs in sauce and simmer on low for 40 minutes; serve over spaghetti. 

  6. Sprinkle Parmesan over the pasta.
