Deluxe Brownies w/Frosting

Ingredients

Brownie Batter:

  • 1½ cups sugar        

  • 1½ cups All-Purpose flour

  • ¼ teaspoon salt        

  • 4 tablespoons cocoa powder 

  • 3 eggs, beaten        

  • ¾ cups butter, melted

  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Frosting:

  • 1 pound box confectioners’ sugar    

  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract    

  • ¼ cup butter, softened

  • 3 tablespoons hot water

Directions

Brownie Batter:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°. 

  2. Grease a 13x9x2-inch glass pan.  Mix dry ingredients.  Add egg, butter, and vanilla. 

  3. Mix on low speed for 2 minutes. 

  4. Pour into pan and bake for 25-30 minutes; allow it to cool.

Frosting:

In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients; mix on medium speed until light and fluffy, 3-5 minutes until stiffened.  Cut brownies into squares; spread frosting on brownies.
