
Homemade Funnel Cake
Ingredients

1 cup confectioners sugar

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

4 cups Bleached Plain flour

1 cup light brown sugar, packed

1 tablespoon baking powder

½ teaspoon kosher salt

3 large eggs
-
2¼ cup whole milk
-
½ teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups vegetable oil

chocolate syrup
Directions

In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon; stir to mix, set aside.

In a large bowl, sift flour, brown sugar, baking powder and salt.

In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk and vanilla. Fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture; whisk until smooth.

Heat oil to 360° in a large skillet. Hold your finger under the opening of an 8oz. funnel and fill it with ¾ cup batter.

Working over the oil, carefully remove your finger from the funnel opening and slowly drizzle the batter into the oil, making 8 designs.

Fry until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side. Remove from oil and let drain on paper towels.

Sprinkle with some of the sugar-cinnamon mixture. Repeat procedure until all the batter is used. Serve warm.
