
Meaty Lasagna
Ingredients

2 pounds ground beef

1 pound ground Italian sausage (medium)

2- 28 ounces RAGU Mushroom Pasta Sauce

1 ½ tablespoons dried sweet basil

½ teaspoon garlic powder
-
1 teaspoon seasoning salt
-
½ teaspoon black pepper
-
½ cup water, if needed

1 pound lasagna noodles
-
3 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
-
3 cups cheddar cheese, shredded

2 cups grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

Directions

Preheat oven to 350º. Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions; drain and let cool.

Cook the ground beef and sausage in 2 separate skillets until done; drain them on separate paper towels.

In a large pot, combine both jars of pasta sauce, seasonings (except Italian seasoning) and the ground beef and sausage; bring to a boil.

Reduce temperature and cook, covered, on medium-low for 30 minutes. If sauce is too thick, add water.

Combine all three cheeses in a large bowl; stir in the Italian seasoning.

Layer noodles on the bottom of 9x13 baking dish. Spoon 1/3 of the meat sauce on noodles; sprinkle 1/3 cheese mixture on top of sauce.

Repeat layers 2 more times, ending with the cheese on top.

Bake, uncovered for 1 hour until done.
