Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

¾ cup butter Crisco

1 ¼ cup light brown sugar, packed

2 tablespoons whole milk

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 large egg

1 ¾ cups All-Purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt

¾ teaspoons baking soda

¾ tsp. baking soda

1 cup semi-sweet morsels

1 cup pecans, chopped

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°.  Place sheets of foil on flat surface for cooling cookies. 

  2. Cream crisco, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in mixing bowl.  Beat at medium speed until well mixed; blend in egg. 

  3. Combine flour, salt and baking soda.  Add to creamed mixture gradually. Stir in morsels and pecans.

  4. Drop rounded measuring tablespoonful of dough 3” apart on ungreased baking sheet. 

  5. Bake 8-10 minutes for chewy cookies (will appear light and moist). 

  6. Bake 9-11 minutes for crispy cookies; place on rack to cool.
